2024 Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program Updates
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has revised its educational requirements for early childhood educators applying under the Human Capital Priorities (HCP) and French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) streams. These changes aim to make it easier for applicants in this profession to qualify for the program.
Applicants to the HCP or FSSW streams who identify their primary NOC as 42202 – Early Childhood Educators and Assistants will no longer need to meet the minimum education requirements if they possess a certificate of registration from the College of Early Childhood Educators. This certification indicates they are job-ready and exempts them from additional educational qualifications.
The official OINP webpages and document checklists for the HCP and FSSW streams have been updated to reflect these adjustments. It is crucial to review the updated criteria for each stream to ensure compliance before submitting an application.
